The setting?
.
Perhaps it could be improved upon !  But not easily, we think.
We are situated in the small area of County Wexford which, known as "the Sunny South-East", notoriously has the best climate in Ireland.

We are a mile or so from the sea and the famous and historic village of Duncannon, with its lovely and still-unspoilt beach.

As for the immediate setting and environment,
they must surely please and charm even our most demanding visitors.
Two hundred yards back from the road and
  therefore free from traffic noise.

Ten acres of paddocks, a bit of woodland, and a
  glen containing a small lake.

Our livestock includes the rare and very
attractive breed of Soay sheep, goats, horses
of varying breeds, a variety of chickens, some
ducks, and ferrets, an amusing dog, and
even a rhea (an ostrich-like bird from South
America, not only fascinating and pretty,
  but also very friendly).
And everything on the property is grown organically.

One feature of our attractive and comfortable 18th Century farm-house and outbuildings that is also worth a special mention is an important library of several thousand books,
old and new, on almost every subject imaginable.
