The Perpetual
Adoration Convent is a house of prayer which serves as a source of
inspiration and spiritual energy for all the people of the diocese of
Ferns and further afield.

Our sisters are particularly devoted to the veneration of the
Eucharist, the mysterious presence of Christ among us.
We celebrate the Eucharist and the Holy Office together every day. Our
sisters also spend one hour daily and one hour at night in prayer
before the Blessed Sacrament.

In order that everyone might partake in the special privilege of this
prayer, the present convent was built next to a parochial church, the
church of the Assumption, in 1887.

From that day to this adoration continues uninterrupted in the church
and its adjoining chapel - bringing blessings to the whole Christian
community.

Act of Adoration
(This prayer
is recited daily by the Sisters)
O Jesus! Son of
God and of the Virgin Mary, our Lord and our God, Who was Crucified
and died on the Cross for the love of us, we most humbly adore Thee
veiled in this Divine Sacrament, we believe in Thee, do Thou increase
our Faith.

We hope in Thee Thou Fountain of goodness and mercy, we Love Thee with
our whole heart and are sorry that we ever offended Thee.

O most Loving Jesus! cleanse us all in Thy Precious Blood, hide us
within Thy Wounds, and grant that nothing in life or death may
separate us from Thee. Amen. |
